Hoofdklasse
<< 2008 2009 2010 >>

The 2009 Hoofdklasse season only contained one former major league player, Eugène Kingsale, a decline from three in 2008. The awards were dominated by foreign players with Canadian Ryan Murphy being named both MVP and Pitcher of the Year and Belgians Steve Janssen (Coach of the Year) and Benjamin Dille (Holland Series MVP) taking home the other major honors.

Neptunus won the 2009 Holland Series, returning to the title after missing two years in a row.

Other than Murphy, most of the league leaders were Dutch players with experience in the US minor leagues such as Kenny Berkenbosch (batting champion), Eugène Kingsale (former major leaguer, run leader), Vince Rooi (double leader), Danny Rombley (total bases leader), Wesley Connor (hit leader) and Diegomar Markwell (win co-leader).
