History, Comments, Contributions[edit]
On May 23rd, the 2019 Chicago White Sox pulled off a rare combination of feats in a game against the Houston Astros. In the 3rd inning, they turned a 5-4-3 triple play, their first triple killing since the 2016 season. Then in the 6th inning Charlie Tilson hit a grand slam. That made them only the fourth team in the last 40 years to have combined the two feats in one game. Coincidentally, the last team to have pulled it off was the 2017 Detroit Tigers, and C James McCann had been part of that team as well! The Sox won the game, 9-4.
