AAA or Triple-A has been the highest level of the minor leagues since 1946. The leagues at this level have been the following:

Since the 2021 minor league reorganization:

• Triple-A East (2021-)
• Triple-A West (2021-)

Until 2019:

• International League (1946-2019)
• Pacific Coast League (1946-1951, 1958-2019)
• American Association (1946-1962, 1969-1997)
• Inter-American League (1979)

In addition the Mexican League has remained a AAA league through the most recent minor league reorganization:

• Mexican League (1967-present)
