Anaheim Angels
The Anaheim Angels played in the American League from 1997 to 2004. They were simply a new name used by the California Angels; there was no fundamental difference between the two teams. They became the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2005; again, this was a simple change of name driven by business considerations, with no impact on the team's structure.
The Angels won the only World Series title in their history under the name Anaheim Angels, in 2002.
More information about the team during that period can be found under the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim article.
