Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Austin House began his professional career in 2012. He reached Triple A for the first time in 2014.

He was drafted twice — initially by the Boston Red Sox in 2009 and then by the Oakland Athletics in the 14th round of the 2012 amateur draft.

He posted a 1.27 ERA in 20 appearances between the Vermont Lake Monsters and Burlington Bees in 2012, striking out 36 and allowing 15 hits in 28 1/3 innings. In 2014, he had 19 saves and 82 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings and earned a spot on the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League. On December 11, he was traded to the Colorado Rockies for outfielder Mark Canha with cash.

House was a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2014 and a Mid-Season All-Star in 2015.
