Biographical Information[edit]

Ben Rosengard has been on the Israeli national team.

He hit .476 in high school and also scored 1,336 points in basketball. [1] He batted .303/.351/.344 as a college freshman and .348/.531/.522 with six runs and six RBI in six games in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. In '21, he transferred to McLennan Community College and hit .333/.432/.504. [2] Transferring again, to Rice, he struggled in 2022 (5 for 36, 8 BB, 2B) and 2023 (8 for 45).

Rosengard then immigrated to Israel. [3] He played for Israel in the 2023 European Championship. He started at short and hit leadoff for them. In their opener against Switzerland, he singled off Jonah Schaller his first at-bat and was driven in by Brett Holtz. He scored three against Belgium (homering off Robbe De Boey) and had a run or hit in every game. He finished at .346/.414/.462 with 7 runs in 6 games. He handled 28 chances error-free at short. He had 20 assists, one behind tourney leader Vojtěch Menšík. He led Israel in runs (two ahead of Holtz) and hits (one ahead of Jonathan Zeevi). [4]
