Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Bill Lobe played in the minors from 1939 to 1941. He then missed the 1942 to 1945 seasons due to military service during World War II.
Lobe was a Cleveland Indians bullpen catcher from 1946 to 1956, although some sources list him as a full-fledged coach during the later years of that period.
