Biographical Information[edit]
Blake Dickman has been on the Israeli national team.
He hit .531 in high school and also played football. [1] He and his sister were the only Jewish students in the high school. [2] He was All-Conference in junior college. [3] He spent 2020 at UNR then transferred to UCSD. [4] He was 0 for 1 in both 2021 and 2022.
Moving to Israel, he made his long-time goal of joining the Israeli baseball team. [5] He debuted in their opener in the 2023 European Championship, playing first base and hitting 8th. He was hit by a Jonah Schaller pitch his first time up and was driven in later by Ryan Lavarnway. His first hit was a double off Simon Steffen to drive in Benny Wanger. He finished 1-for-7 with two times plunked, two runs and a RBI while Wanger saw most of the time at first base. [6]
