Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Bob Kruthoffer played three seasons of minor league ball in the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Braves systems, from 1958 to 1961. He was 4-3, 3.62 in 16 games with the Wytheville Cardinals of the Appalachian League in his first professional season. 1958, but was limited to 8 games after that, presumably because of injuries.
He was later head baseball coach at Marshall University in 1966, going 6-15 in one season at the helm. Away from the diamond, he worked for many years in the insurance industry.
