Biographical Information[edit]

Bobby Keppel was drafted by the New York Mets in the supplemental 1st round of the 2000 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Larry Chase and made his pro debut that summer.

Keppel signed with the Nippon Ham Fighters for 2010. He started their third game of the season, March 22nd, and allowed one run and two hits in the 1st inning to the Softbank Hawks before leaving with an injury that sidelined him for a couple of weeks. He ended up playing in Japan until 2013. His first two seasons were good ones, as he was 12-8, 3.35 in 25 starts for Nippon Ham in 2010 and 14-6, 3.22 in 2011. However, he only made two starts in 2012, and went 2-5, 6.14 in 8 starts in his final season with the Fighters.
