Biographical Information[edit]

North Carolina native Bunky Stewart played for the New Bern Bears of the Coastal Plain League, pitching a no-hitter and winning 17 consecutive games in 1951. He went on to play for the Washington Senators in parts of five seasons, starting in 1952.

He also spent five seasons with the Chattanooga Lookouts.

After his playing days, he worked in retail and as a realtor. He died at age 76.
