Biographical Information[edit]

During his college career Carson Cross pitched for the UConn Huskies and graduated in 2015 with a degree in urban planning and environmental studies. The St. Louis Cardinals drafted Cross in the 14th round of the 2015 amateur draft and he played for the State College Spikes in 2015-2016. He was 3-2 with a 2.70 ERA in '15 and 5-6, 3.24 in '16.

After his playing career ended, Cross worked privately as a pitching instructor affiliated with the USA Training Centers from August 2017 to May 2018. He spent the remainder of 2018 working at Northeast Baseball as a pitching coordinator.

In 2019 the Milwaukee Brewers hired Cross as a development coach at their Arizona training complex. The Brewers promoted Cross to pitching coach for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2020 before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the minor league season. He was pitching coach of the Carolina Mudcats in 2021.

Cross' father Jeff played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers.
