Biographical Information

Between August 9-10, 1997, Chris Stynes recorded seven consecutive hits in his first seven at-bats of the season as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. This was the all-time record (or at least, the record since 1900), until Yermín Mercedes began the 2021 season by going 8-for-8.
