Biographical information[edit]

Clyde Wren was a minor league baseball outfielder and manager.

His playing career spanned from 1914 to 1925, however he only played seven seasons. This is because he did not play in 1915, 1917, 1918, 1919 or 1922. Perhaps his best season was 1923, when he hit .296 in 69 games for the Independence Producers. Overall, he hit .249 in 517 minor league games.

Wren managed the Pawhuska Osages for part of the 1922 season, before being replaced by John Wuffli. He then managed the Shawnee Indians in 1923. He last managed in 1926 for the McAlester Miners- that year, he was replaced by Connie Fields part-way through the season.

His middle name has also been spelled Clayde. One source says he also played in 1926.
