Biographical Information[edit]
The brother of Ike Boone, Danny Boone posted a 5.01 ERA in the major leagues. He then turned his attention to hitting and posted a .356 batting average and 214 home runs in 1,336 minor league games. Boone won four batting titles in five years, two home run crowns, and two RBI titles, including a triple crown in the 1928 Piedmont League (.419-38-131). He also led his league in hits three times and runs three times. While Ike has the highest minor league career average at .370, Danny ranks eighth.
