Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Danny Buxbaum played in the minors from 1995 to 1998. He was taken by the California Angels in the 11th round of the 1995 amateur draft.

In his first campaign, he hit .329/.446/.498 in 68 games for the Boise Hawks and was named MVP of the Northwest League. Named the Angels' #10 prospect going into 1996, he slumped to .292/.360/.503, but managed 14 home runs in 74 games for the Lake Elsinore Storm. He had 10 home runs and 42 doubles for the Midland Angels in 1997 and in 1998, he hit .327/.373/.539 with 19 home runs and 70 RBI in 103 games between two teams -- including the Triple A Vancouver Canadians, with whom he hit .320/.333/.420. He hit .306/.376/.488 with 51 home runs and 251 RBI in 375 games.

After not playing ball for over a decade, he appeared in a game for the independent Long Beach Armada. The starting pitcher, he went 2/3 of an inning, allowing six walks, two hits and six earned runs.
