Dorothy Naum played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1946 to 1953. She originally played catcher and second base but was given a shot at pitching while with the Kenosha Comets in 1950. She went 6-4 that year and tied for the league lead with a 1.14 ERA the next with the Kalamazoo Lassies. She went 14-7 with the Lassies in 1953 and got married following the season. She planned to return in 1954 but became pregnant with her first child instead.
Overall, Naum hit .181 in 578 games and was 27-19 with a 2.01 ERA in 64 appearances on the mound.
