Biographical Information

Esteban Gonzalez had played, coached and managed in the minors before he turned 27 years old.

Gonzalez signed with the Houston Astros in 2002. He spent two years in the Latin American summer leagues, then hit .183/.267/.215 for the 2005 Greeneville Astros, backing up Koby Clemens at third base.

Gonzalez was a coach for the VSL Devil Rays/Reds in 2007 and the VSL Rays in 2008-2009. He became manager of the VSL Rays in 2010-2012 and coached for the team again in 2013-2015. He then managed the DSL Rays 1 in 2017-2019 and 2021. Gonzalez was a coach for the FCL Rays in 2022-2023.
