Biographical Information[edit]

Frank Baker played for the Cleveland Indians during parts of 1969 and 1971. In all, he appeared in 125 games, primarily in left field and as a pinch hitter. Although appearing in only 52 games in 1969, he is listed as the regular left fielder because he had 46 games in left, more than any other player (Russ Snyder was second with 37). He was one year younger than Sam McDowell, his teammate on both the 1969 and the 1971 teams.

Frank missed 1967 and 1968 due to military service. After he came back, he hit .312 for the 1969 Waterbury Indians and .326 for the 1971 Wichita Aeros, each in partial seasons when he was not in the majors. He is not to be confused with two other players named Frank Baker - John Franklin "Home Run" Baker and his contemporary Frank Watts Baker.
