Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Menechino hit .274/.372/.411 in 18 games for Danesi Nettuno in Serie A1 in 2008 but herniated disc problems ended his career in May; Luis Ugueto replaced him.
Menechino was hitting coach of the Trenton Thunder in 2009-2010. In 2011-2013 he was a coach for the New York Yankees' AAA squads with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, Empire State Yankees and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. In 2014, he was appointed hitting coach of the Miami Marlins. After two seasons as hitting coach he moved to assistant hitting coach for the 2016 season following the hiring of Barry Bonds as hitting coach. He stayed in the position until the end of the 2018 season. Menechino moved to the Chicago White Sox' chain as hitting coach of the Charlotte Knights in 2019. In 2020, he was promoted to hitting coach of the major league team, staying until the end of the 2022 season.
