Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Isaiah White was a third-round selection by the Miami Marlins in the 2015 amateur draft, out of a high school in North Carolina. He played that season with the GCL Marlins, hitting .294 in 36 games. In 2016, he moved up to the Batavia Muckdogs of the New York-Penn League. Splitting his time between left field and center field, he hit .214/.306/.301 in 51 games, with his first professional homer and 17 RBIs. Still very raw although considered one of the top 10 prospects in the Marlins' organization, he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on January 19, 2017, alongside pitchers Austin Brice and Luis Castillo in eturn for major league starting pitcher Dan Straily.
