Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jeff Stark played in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system from 1986 to 1988. He was drafted by the club in the 30th round of the 1986 amateur draft, ahead of future All-Star pitchers Scott Erickson and Todd Jones, among other players.

He had his best year in 1987, when he hit .283/.366/.411 with 9 home runs, 68 RBI, 19 stolen bases, 77 runs scored, 128 hits and 186 total bases in 130 games for the Spartanburg Phillies. He hit .258/.339/.363 with 14 home runs, 118 RBI and 24 stolen bases in 298 games over three seasons.

He died on March 23, 2014 at age 51.
