Biographical Information[edit]
Jeremy Riggs made his debut as a major league umpire on July 28, 2020. He worked a total of 14 games that season, including one on August 31st in a game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles in which a record six calls were appealed - and all were upheld following a video review.
He has worked in the Gulf Coast League, Appalachian League, South Atlantic League, Carolina League, Southern League and International League in addition to the Arizona Fall League. Before his joining the ranks of organized baseball, he had worked in the Coastal Plain League. He worked the 2010 Southern League All-Star Game and the 2017 Triple-A All-Star Game.
His hometown is Suffolk, VA.
