Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Jerry Sullivan began his professional career in 2009.

He was taken by the San Diego Padres in the 3rd round of the 2009 amateur draft, one pick after third baseman Kyle Seager. The scout was Lane Decker.

He started his career as a starting pitcher and though he was a Midwest League Mid-Season All-Star in 2010, he did not hit his stride until converting to relief pitching. In 2014, he had a 2.29 ERA and 13 saves in 54 games between the San Antonio Missions and Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas. He began 2015 with El Paso.
