Biographical Information[edit]

Jim Manning, at the age of 18, pitched five games for the Minnesota Twins in 1962. He was eight years younger than teammate Harmon Killebrew. Jim allowed no earned runs in his first three outings.

Jim came from a small town in upper Michigan and attended high school in another town in upper Michigan. Dick Pole was from the same area. Jim was also a legendary basketball star in high school.
