Biographical Information

Jim McLaughlin was born in St. Louis, MO and played in one game for the St. Louis Browns on April 18, 1932. Late in the game, he replaced third baseman Red Kress and played one inning, getting no chances in the field. With the bat, he had one plate appearance, grounding out but driving in teammate Goose Goslin to score a run.

Jim had a much longer minor league career, playing eleven seasons of which seven were with the Sacramento Senators. His manager during virtually all of that time in Sacramento was Buddy Ryan.

He is not to be confused with the earlier Jim McLaughlin, who also played in just one major league season.
