Biographical Information[edit]

In addition to managing in the minors, Jimmy Payton was a co-owner of the Topeka Senators in 1933-1934 and the Keokuk Indians in 1935. He also played in the minors from 1917-1928 as an infielder.

Payton later spent time as a scout for the Chicago Cubs.
