Biographical Information[edit]

Joe Kehoskie has worked in professional baseball in a variety of capacities since 1984. He is currently a player agent and the president and CEO of Joe Kehoskie Baseball.

As an agent, Kehoskie has worked extensively in Latin America and has represented more than a dozen Cuban defectors. He is often quoted in the media on the topics of Cuban baseball, Cuban defectors, and baseball in Latin America.

According to news articles, Kehoskie grew up wanting to become a general manager but instead became an agent after entry-level jobs in Major League Baseball front offices and scouting departments were scarce in the years following the 1994 strike.

Minor Leagues (1984–1994)[edit]

Kehoskie worked in the Minor Leagues for a total of 11 years. He began working for his hometown Auburn Astros of the Class A New York-Penn League in 1984 at age 11, holding a wide variety of positions with the team over an almost eight-year period ending in December 1991. Among others, Luis González, Kenny Lofton, Todd Jones, Shane Reynolds, and James Mouton began their professional baseball careers in Auburn during this period, while Bob Hartsfield, Rick Wise, Ron Porterfield, and Ricky Peters were notable staff members.

After Auburn, Kehoskie worked for the Rochester Red Wings of the Class AAA International League from January 1992 to late 1994. Among the notable Red Wings players during this period were Jamie Moyer, Mark Parent, Gregg Zaun, Jeffrey Hammonds, and Jeff Manto, while Jerry Narron and Mike Young were notable staff members.

Player Agent (1996–present)[edit]
