Biographical Information[edit]
Playing for the Atlanta Braves on August 8, 2017, Johan Camargo suffered a freak injury when jogging onto the field just before the start of the game, he tripped and fell to the ground. He was trying to jump over the chalk line, as superstitious players are wont to do, and hyper-extended his left knee. He had to be helped off the field and was replaced in the lineup by Jace Peterson. Johan showed enough that season to play semi-regularly at third base in 2018, hitting .272 with 19 home runs and 76 RBI in 134 games. When the Braves locked down Josh Donaldson for 2019, Johan played all over but was unable to recapture his '18 stroke, hitting only .233 in limited duty.
Notable Achievements[edit]
- Won one World Series with the Atlanta Braves in 2021 (he did not play in the World Series)
