John Gaynor is a former Australian Baseball League infielder who is managed the Australian team in the 2008 Women's Baseball World Cup, 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup (when Australia won their first Silver in a Women's Baseball World Cup) and 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup. His wife is Katie Gaynor, one of the club's players. John said "It’s the only place where I’m the boss, so I try to spend as much time as I can at the ballpark." His niece Stephanie Gaynor joined the team in 2012.

Gaynor hit .118/.189/.118 for the Parramatta Patriots in the 1990-1991 Australian Baseball League and was 0 for 2 the next season for the Sydney Blues. In the 1993-1994 ABL, he batted .227/.272/.320 in 31 games for the Canberra Bushrangers. He hit .378/.465/.622 for Canberra in 1994-1995 in a career year for the backup infielder. He also was 3-2 with 2 saves and a 4.24 ERA.

In 1995-1996, Gaynor became a starter but eked out a .236/.291/.350 line for the Hunter Eagles. He fell to .186/.263/.336 as an everyday infielder for the 1996-1997 Eagles. He concluded his career with Hunter in 1997-1998, going 4 for 20 with 3 walks.

Overall, John hit .218 and slugged .336 in 186 games in the Australian Baseball League.
