Biographical Information[edit]
Josh Prince played college ball at Tulane University and was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 3rd round of the 2009 amateur draft. He played in the Brewers minor league system from 2009 to 2014 with a brief stop in the majors leagues in 2013. From 2015-2019 he alternated between playing in the affiliated minor leagues and the independent leagues.
Prince began his coaching career in 2019 as a player/coach. He started with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League. After being released in mid-May, he signed with the Texas AirHogs of the American Association as a player/coach and remained there until early July when he signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks organization for the remainder of the year. In 2020 the Boston Red Sox hired Prince as the hitting coach for the Greenville Drive before the coronavirus pandemic caused the minor league season to be cancelled. Prince was then a hitting coach for the FCL Red Sox in 2021-2023.
