Biographical Information[edit]

Keith Lieppman was drafted in the 70th round of the 1967 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, but chose to attend college. He was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 2nd round in 1971. Lieppman played in the minor leagues from 1971-79, including six years at AAA, but never made it to the majors.

Lieppman managed the Modesto A's in 1980-1981, the Idaho Falls A's in 1982-1983, the Albany-Colonie A's in 1984, and the Tacoma Tigers in 1985-1987. He has been the A's farm director (Director of Player Development) since 1992 (as of 2013).
