Biographical Information[edit]

Originally drafted as a third baseman by the Montreal Expos, Kevin Foster was converted to pitching after two seasons as an infielder in 1988 and 1989. He threw a rising fastball and a change-up. His greatest success as a big leaguer came with the Chicago Cubs.

On October 11, 2008, he died in an Oklahoma City, OK hospital after a six-month bout with renal cell carcinoma. He was 39.
