Biographical Information[edit]

Lefty Tyler was the player-manager for the Lawrence Merry Macks in 1926. The team finished 5th in the New England League with a record of 46-49. His brother Fred Tyler was a teammate with the 1914 "Miracle" Boston Braves and brother Bill Tyler played in the minors. After his playing career ended, he was an umpire in the New England League (1928-1930) and Eastern League (1931-1932).
