Biographical Information[edit]

Lindy Lauro was a college coach.

Lauro attended the University of Alabama for a year before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. After the war, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he played football. He then joined the NFL's Chicago Cardinals, playing in the 1951 season for them.

He became head baseball coach of Dickinson College in 1953. He left after the 1955 season.

In 1961, he became head football coach for his alma mater, New Castle High School. He coached for 32 seasons at New Castle.
