Biographical Information[edit]

Merlin Kopp was an outfielder 18 years 1911 to 1928, three in the Major Leagues and 18 in the minors. He was a World War I Veteran. He played for the Washington Senators and the Philadelphia Athletics from 1915 to 1919. Led his league (minors) five times in stolen bases - once in the Pacific Coast League (1923). For over 30 years he was a warehouseman for a wholesale hardware company. He died at age 68 from a heart attack at his home and is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento, CA.
