Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Mike White was taken 19th overall in the 1986 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, one pick after outfielder Phil Clark and a few picks ahead of first baseman Lee Stevens. He very briefly peaked at Triple A.

The 18-year-old batted .287/.366/.343 with 13 stolen bases for the Great Falls Dodgers in 1986 and in 1988, with the Vero Beach Dodgers, he hit .340/.386/.463 with 11 triples and 14 steals. He initially struggled in the mid-minors, however, hitting .227/.278/.305 in 115 games for the San Antonio Missions his first year there in 1989; the next year, he played 13 games at batted .391/.440/.522 for the same club. Back with San Antonio in 1991, he hit .291/.321/.386 in 93 games. He joined the New York Mets organization for 1992. In addition to time at Double-A, he spent a single game with the Triple A Tidewater Tides, going hitless in three at-bats.

Overall, White hit .277/.327/.360 in 546 games over seven years.
