Biographical Information[edit]
Mul Holland served as a Commander with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific in World War II (BN). He pitched four years for the University of Virginia (from 1922 to 1925) and four years in organized ball (from 1926 to 1929) including three cups of coffee in a total of 13 major league games for the Cincinnati Reds in 1926, the New York Giants in 1927 and the St. Louis Cardinals in 1929.
In his brief opportunities to bat in the majors, he posted an OBP of .429.
He moved to Winchester, VA in 1948 and was a trust officer for the Shenandoah Valley National Bank. In 1962, he became a stock broker for an investment firm, retiring in 1968.
