Newark Peppers

From BR Bullpen

After winning the Federal League pennant in 1914, the Indianapolis Hoosiers moved to Newark, NJ in 1915 and became the Newark Peppers. They were competitive in 1915 but ultimately finished in fifth place. After the league folded, outfielder Edd Roush went on to a Hall of Fame career. The last surviving player from the Peppers was Roush, who died in 1988.
