Biographical Information[edit]

Obedt Posadas pitched in the Mexican League from 2004 to 2007. He debuted in 2005, in which he appeared for the Saraperos de Saltillo (3 R in 1 IP) and Vaqueros Laguna (2-6, 7.70). He tied Jesus Rios for the Liga lead with 14 hit batsmen and tied for 4th with 11 wild pitches. In 2006, he was with Saltillo (1-0, 5.79) and the Rieleros de Aguascalientes (0-5, 8.37, 2.07 WHIP in 35 G). He tied Pablo Ortega for 4th with 10 HB. Things were no better in his final season as he was 0-1 with a 2.30 WHIP and 7.71 ERA in 12 outings for the Piratas de Campeche. Overall, he appeared in 73 games, starting 16 of them, and went 3-12 with a 7.98 ERA. In 150 innings, he allowed 220 hits and 90 walks, while striking out 55 batters.

In 2013, he died in a car crash at the age of 34.
