Biographical Information[edit]

Oscar Georgy pitched one game for the 1938 New York Giants managed by Bill Terry.

Georgy was considered "lost" by baseball researchers in 1962 but a number of fans wrote in to Baseball Digest, which published in September 1962 where he lived in New Orleans, LA. The publication also stated that he had to retire from baseball due to a chipped elbow.

He was a sensation in 1937 with Crookston, going 14-7 and leading the league in strikeouts.
