Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Ramon German played in the Houston Astros organization from 1997 to 2003, then spent part of a season in independent baseball. He began his career in the Dominican Summer League in 1997, remaining there through 1999. He came stateside in 2000 and hit .320/.384/.529 with 7 home runs, 44 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 59 games for the Martinsville Astros that year. Though his slash lines fell off afterward, he still managed 13 home runs, 93 RBI, 21 stolen bases and 37 doubles for the Lexington Legends in 2001 and 11 home runs and 15 RBI for Lexington in 2002. After a subpar season in 2003, he was out of professional baseball.

Overall, German batted .262/.345/.420 with 32 home runs, 197 RBI and 52 stolen bases in 320 games over 4 seasons.
