Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Randy Sodders was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 35th round of the 1989 amateur draft, one pick ahead of pitcher Hilly Hathaway and a few picks ahead of pitcher Steve Cooke. 1989 was his only season in professional baseball, as he hit .200/.307/.254 in 40 games between the Charleston Wheelers and Wytheville Cubs. His brother, Mike Sodders, pitched in the minor leagues from 1988 to 1996.
