Biographical Information[edit]

Rehiner Córdova played as high as AA and was on the Venezuelan national team.

He was signed by Florida Marlins scouts Wilmer Castillo and Albert Gonzalez. [1] He hit .231/.349/.245 for the 2011 DSL Marlins, fielding .938 at short. He batted .284/.365/.314 for the '12 GCL Marlins, fielding .976 at SS. He split 2013 between the Jupiter Hammerheads (2 for 10), Greensboro Grasshoppers (.220/.278/.280 in 20 G), Batavia Muckdogs (.237/.311/.316 in 12 G) and the GCL Marlins (2 for 22, 2 BB). That winter, he was 1 for 1 for the Tiburones de La Guaira in the Venezuelan League postseason (he had not yet appeared in a LVBP regular-season contest). [2]

Córdova hit .248/.319/.282 for the 2014 Grasshoppers, playing all four infield spots and two outfield ones. In '15, he played for Jupiter (.161/.232/.172 in 30 G) and GCL Marlins (4 for 15, 7 BB, 2B). He hit .166/.270/.173 for Jupiter in 2016, playing seven different positions. That winter, he was 2 for 14 with a walk for the Tiburones. In 2017, he made it to AA with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, going 2 for 15 with 3 walks. He was 2 for 9 with two walks and three runs that winter for La Guaira. He was the starting shortstop for Venezuela in the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, batting .235/.333/.235 with two runs and one RBI in six games, while fielding .933. [3] He batted .203/.277/.254 for the 2019-2020 Tigres de Aragua; it is unclear if his career is over as of May 2022.
