Richard George Knowles

RG Knowles was a 19th Century British comedian who helped organize the first baseball games played on a regular basis in London, in 1889. He was a player-manager who led the London Thespians to British titles in 1893-1894, the first British team to win more than one title. In 2012, he was inducted into the British Baseball Hall of Fame.
