Rod Heisler was a long-time pitcher for Team Canada.

Heisler was 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA in the 1978 Amateur World Series as a 23-year-old southpaw. He played in the 1979 Pan American Games, 1980 Amateur World Series, 1981 Intercontinental Cup, 1982 Amateur World Series (3-0, 2.35; he was the All-Star LHP, joining Dong-yol Son as the pitchers chosen), 1983 Intercontinental Cup, 1984 Olympics, 1985 Intercontinental Cup, 1987 Pan American Games and 1987 Intercontinental Cup. His last big event was the 1988 Baseball World Cup, when the veteran allowed 10 hits and six runs in 5 1/3 innings.
