Biographical Information[edit]
Oliver "Rube" Sellers was up in the majors at age 29 for the last couple months of the season with the 1910 Boston Doves He appeared in twelve games, playing outfield and at the plate getting five singles and six walks.
Sellers was born in Duquesne, PA, in the Pittsburgh area. He spent quite a few years in the Ohio-Pennsylvania League and came to the minors at age 29. Later, in 1913, he played in the nascent Federal League before it became a competing major league.
