San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico and its largest city, located on the north side of the island, on the Atlantic Ocean.
San Juan has hosted major league games on a number of occasions, first for an Opening Day game on April 1, 2001, and later when the lame-duck Montreal Expos played some of their home games in San Juan during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Since then, there have been a number of one-off series of regular season games being played on the island for promotional purposes. The city has also hosted games in various editions of the World Baseball Classic.
