Biographical Information

Sugath De Silva has pitched for the Sri Lankan national team. He has also served in the Sri Lankan Army.

De Silva got the start (a no-decision) in a win against India in the 2019 West Asia Baseball Cup; Sri Lanka won the event. In the 2019 Asian Championship, he allowed four runs in one inning after relieving Kamal Galahitiyawe Gedara in his team's blowout loss to Japan. He started against the Philippines and gave up three runs in one inning; Sasika Dulshan relieved. He took the loss, while Junmar Diarao got the win. His seven earned runs allowed tied Rizwan Ali for 7th in the event. He did not finish with Sri Lanka's highest ERA; Saliya Wijesinghe was higher.
