Uploading a photo or image[edit]

Having trouble doing this, can someone walk me through it please?

Thanks--T. J. Lewis 12:18, 28 November 2008 (EST)

You're uploading the images just fine. You need to link to them from the page in question. So, on the Joe Lewis page, add the line [[Image:Joe lewis bristol 1981.jpg|left|150 px|Joe Lewis]] to add the image.

Senior League[edit]

If you have any info about the Senior League, espcially as it involves Curt Flood as commissioner, please send to Stuart Weiss: [email protected]

Thank you.

Von McDaniel 1957 Team Issued Card[edit]

HELP! I have an autographed (printed) Von McDaniel 1957 Team Issued Card that I need more Info on, if anyone can help! I have the Type 2 autograph card that states " NO union label and has a 2 cent box for postage" post card. Guess what!??? Mine HAS a Union Label (with the small 115). It has the "St. Louis Cardinals, Busch Stadium, St. Louis 7, Mo. in the upper left hand corner WITH the Union label under that. It has a canceled 2 cent stamp and is addressed to a person in Illinois. Postmarked "Oct. 5, 1957." Does anyone have any idea if this is some kind of mess up or am I just reading the info wrong? If anyone can help, you can email me at: [email protected]. I have looked in ebay for some info and all the really have is the 1958 "65A" trading card. HELP me PLEASE! thanx hip'

Question[edit]

Is there any way I can edit this protected page or at least have some changes made? I think I see a few helpful changes that could be made.   jj137 (Talk) 21:05, 11 November 2007 (EST)

You can post the stuff here and ask a sysop to add it to the page. - --Mischa 20:02, 14 November 2007 (EST)

There are a bunch of external links to wikipedia that I think would look a bit nicer if they were changed to "internal" links. For example, instead of [http://en.wikipedia.org... , it could be changed to [[wikipedia:(Article name)|(whatever you need to put here)]]. Also, I think the "Create a page" summary could be update a bit. There's got to be a better way than explaining how to use the URL. How about something like, "Go to the search box, and if the article you would like to add information to does not have an exact article, click the red link at top to begin editing of the article". It also says "Normal HTML rules apply" under using tables. First, all of the HTML is gone from the site (that I know of, it has been updated to wiki syntax), and, isn't this a Mediawiki site? We should probably be using wiki syntax instead of HTML. If you are an expert with HTML and would like to use it, that's fine, and someone else can help out later; but let's not suggest using HTML.

  • As another point, the link pointing to the [[Sandbox]] should probably be changed to [[BR Bullpen:Batting Cage|Batting Cage]].
  • You could probably make some of those external links look a little nicer by adding <span class="plainlinks"> before the link and </span> afterwards.

Let's see what we can do.   jj137 (Talk) 16:41, 8 December 2007 (EST)
